Set
foot in its charming courtyard simply dressed in ochre yellow,
and you will be taken aback by the charming 17th century
church standing there bang in the middle, serenely in a
white coat of paint.
Undoubtedly one of Tiracol’s strength is the simple
fact that you are staying in a former defense fort in splendid
isolation. There's a palpable sense of history all around
- added to this is all the essential comfort one expects
today. The fort's elevated position and the views it affords
from the ramparts are quite something else. Sitting on the
top verandah, or on one of the rooms' private balconies,
gulping the clean air and panoramic seascapes is a sublime
experience.
Watch a million stars and an elusive moon performs for you
while you dine by candlelight; Al Fresco in the open air
restaurant.
The mood is casual while the service as always is impeccable.
